Making Moves: New York Fashion Week F/W 2016 Part I

As we all know, New York Fashion Week is a pretty big deal! From the excitement surrounding iconic designers to the speculation of the season’s biggest trends, this phenomena has grown into a worldwide sartorial obsession that continues to intrigue us year after year.

Now, I’ve always admired NYFW via Pinterest, lol. For real! I’ve never really had the resources (*clears throat* I really mean, finances) to take such an epic trip. But, thanks to Claire Sulmers of Fashion Bomb Daily, I was able to make my dream a reality!

I left the glorious 70 degree weather of Houston, Texas for the chilly temps of Brooklyn. And, all that was stopping me, was this 3 and a half hour flight…

I finally arrived at LaGuardia, exhausted. But, Milly By Michelle was awaiting!

The venue was beyond chic! Held at Pier 59 Studios, the ambiance of the the entire collection translated perfectly around such a jaw-dropping venue.

Jame and I waltzed around the foyer while snapping pictures, making connections and filming for Fashion Bomb.

We even bumped into Olga Maria of Dreams In Heels! Hey girl!

And, of course, I had to add a quick selfie to the mix…

Later that night Jame and I braved the below zero temps to attend celebrity stylist Ty Hunter’s Ty-Lite Launch Party. After finally arriving, we waiting outside (yes, in the cold!) for over 20 minutes! Lol, but it was worth every moment.

The party was filled with tons of glitz, glamour and some of New York’s hottest style mavens. We danced Milly Rocked and Snapchatted the entire evening. It was TOO lit!

And, we even got a picture with the Man of the Hour…

… Oh hey, Ty Hunter!

And, that’s the end of Part 1!

Stay tuned for the second installment!
