Ulyana Sergeenko is a designer who always seems to have an impact on my personal style. A while back, I was absolutely enthralled with the entire “boudoir dressing” trend. Some of Tinseltown’s hottest fashionistas including Kim Kardashian West, Rihanna and even Rita Ora have donned this provocative approach, yet it still lingers within my wardrobe as that added touch of sultriness.
From satin-drenched jumpsuits to the occasional structured corset, Ulyana’s Spring 2014 Couture collection is one of my favorite runway presentations of all time. And, even as I continue to grow in the sartorial realm, I’m confident that these delicate and feminine designs will forever be a blueprint for some of my most brow-raising outfits. And, it feels oh so good!
Now, let’s take a look at some of Ulyana’s most captivating runway looks:
The first ensemble merely requires a pair of high-waisted trousers, a form-fitting top and your favorite duster! I doubt that we all have a spare silky teal robe lying around the house but there’s nothing wrong with trying alternative options. And, if you have a gold rope belt to cinch the pieces together, even better!
Lately, I’ve been leaning towards more eccentric looks that incorporate a bit of volume and color. This ‘fit simply combines a sheer crop top, striped rose and pink pants and a layered skirt. Pretty nifty, no?
Can we get a resounding amen for luscious prints?! Gosh! Literally half my entire closet is oozing with various styles of patterns and hues – it’s magnificent. So, after spotting this stunning thigh-grazing maxi dress, I knew it’d add the right amount of “eclectic vibes” to my list. To top things off, all you need is a metallic shoe and statement-making earrings. Very Carre Bradshaw-ish!
Jumpsuits are always a timeless choice for any occasion. Stock up on these onsies to ensure that you’ll NEVER be without an outfit. In this frock, playful heels, a whimsical handbag and an embellished hat all inject an ample amount of spice to the model’s sophisticated look. In addition, the wrap feature around the hips allows the piece to feel more modern. Yes!
Last, but certainly not least, we have this lovely jewel-tone combination. While I was more drawn to the hues rather than the outfit, I was still inspired. The elegance of the emerald green and ruby red instantly add a bit of class and luxury to an otherwise simple styling.
Well, that about sums it up!
