It’s Almost Time! African Fashion Week Houston 2017 is Set to Go Down September 18th -24th!

It’s that time of year again!

African Fashion Week Houston (AFWH) is right around the corner and I’m thrilled to be working with the team behind the scenes! As of last month, I was placed in contact with Ivy Okoro, who is a visionary when it comes to everything African Fashion Week. Ivy afforded me the opportunity to work with some of Houston’s brightest sartorial talents by placing me in charge of blogger recruitment.

With blogger recruitment, we, the AFWH team, want to extend the reach of this event-filled week while also spreading the word about the history, platform and overall appeal behind African Fashion Week Houston. Now, honestly, I’ve had minimal experience in working with a huge event but I’m confident that this year’s festivities will be nothing short of magical.

I had the opportunity to attend last year’s feature and it was absolutely everything! To see more of my experience, check out my past blog post here.

Below, I’ve posted a few of the flyers that highlight upcoming events:

I also want to extend an invitation to other bloggers to reach out to me. If you’re a lifestyle, fashion, style, food, accessories or travel connoisseur with a love for bold inspiration, networking and just overall fun, then feel free to email me at esmesha.campbell@gmail.com. Looking to purchase tickets to the events? Well, take a detour to Eventbrite to see more details.

Please be sure to include 1) your name, 2) your blog name, 3) a contact reference (i.e.: cell phone number, email, etc.) and 4) a brief explanation as to why you want to work with the African Fashion Week Houston blogger team. If you have any additional questions about the event, feel free to email me as well!

Can’t wait to hear from you!

xoxo,

    1. Hey, love! There are a an impressive number of non-African models and attendees. Last year, I attended and I had the time of my life! Hopefully, you can come out and support this year.

      Thanks for reading! 🙂

      1. I see. That aspect seems counterproductive to the event’s title and theme, kind of blurring the lines. But I thank you for sharing your experience.
