Recently, I’ve started to revive my exercise routine. Thanks to COVID-19, the world and a large majority of its inhabitants, have been forced to resort to alternative forms of therapy, meditation and self-care.
I’ve always considered myself (somewhat) healthy but, ever since being quarantined, my diet has totally altered and I find myself searching for ways to infuse as many vitamins, minerals and herbs into my body. As a severe, iron-deficient African-American woman, I’ve also been alerted that incorporating as many leafy, green vegetables as possible will a remain key in my overall health and well-being. Enter in smoothies!
Smoothies are a godsend! You can literally add any and everything into their composition and you can totally make it your own. Smoothies area also an excellent way to substitute a meal, especially if you are on-the-go and pressed for time.
