I’ve been such a fan of fashion heavyweights Giorgia Tordini and Gilda Ambrosio for quite some time. Their undeniable and influential street style presence was what, initially, caught my attention.
Not too soon after, I discovered that they were the masterminds behind The Attico. The Attico is a brand that has it’s hand on the pulse of what’s trending for this season. If you sift through their runway collections, you’ll leave (not only inspired), but ready to tackle fashion from a refreshed perspective.
Here in Houston, we haven’t quite experienced the true nitty gritty that is known as “sweater weather”. I’m craving cooler temps, but Mother Nature just will not let us be great! Special thanks to The Attico for blessing us with some “in-between” slayage that I can be excited about. So, keep reading to find out which of this brand’s iconic looks made the cut for this week’s installment of Runway to Real Way!
1) Mix prints and aesthetics

One thing that I adore about The Attico is their ability to embrace contrasting prints and transition them into sartorial goodness. In this look, the mix of feminine florals with the rock-n-roll, marigold snakeskin is absolute magic! Sidenote: If you’re feeling daring, cow print pumps are a bonus.
2) Transform textures into statements

Monochrome ‘fits always exude sophisticated vibes: think Michelle Pfeiffer in Scarface. Got it? You can add a bit of intrigue to your next Fall ensemble by mixing different textures, within the same color family. Use this uber-lux lace and cozy knit ensemble as inspiration.
3) Slinky silks are undefeated

There’s just something so utterly elegant about donning a silk piece. Whether it’s a shirt, a pair of silk pants or a silk blazer, the mere feel such a rich fabric immediately propels you to “Socialite Status”. This season, try combining your silk stunners with eye-catching accessories to elevate your overall look.
4) Take neutrals to the next level!

Who says neutrals have to be basic? I know I know, we’ve been plagued with the same ol’ examples of cold beiges, creams and browns while perusing Pinterest, but let’s face it… life is about taking risks. And, The Attico has done exactly that with this hot number – the layered tiger-print shirt against the rust basic tee and the oreo snakeskin skirt is highly unpredictable. And, the icing on the cake: the cream square sunnies. Everything.
5) Belt your ankles!

A widespread trend that I’m seeing on street style stars galore is the what I call the “ankle belt”. Fashion enthusiasts are literally wrapping their lace-up heels around the lower halves of their trousers. The look can be seen above and, yes, it may not be for everyone. It’s a neat styling trick to create some interest and added shape. I’d try it!
And, there you have it! I’m curious: which look was your fave? Are you a fan of The Attico? Sound off down below!
