Currently, here in Houston, it is 18 degrees and snowing. That’s right, SNOWING! Apparently, we’ve been blessed with a winter storm and Mother Nature truly believes that we’re not quite ready for those much-needed spring temps.
Aside from trying to stay warm, I’ve been craving all things cozy. Clothes, food, self-care, the works. Just wanted to also share a few of my favorite things that have helped me usher in that added bit of comfort. You know, those pieces that make life so much easier, especially when you don’t feel like searching for something to wear. The Easy Slay.
Thanks to both COVID and the cooler weather, I’ve lived in sweat suits since about December. They’re just perfect for a good throw-on and go! I also love that they come in various colors, patterns and textures. To top off your cozy ‘fit, add a pair of dope kicks, eye-catching statement outerwear and an (eco-friendly) canvas tote. A few quick tidbits about my featured look: my oversized, Western-inspired coat is a thrifted Neiman Marcus find, my navy blue Hanes sweat suit was purchased from Walmart and my Jordans were gifted. The tote I’m rocking is from a Black-owned local business, Dinero’s Closet. If you adore vintage finds, check out more from Dinero’s Closet here! Topping things off, I also donned my Toy Story mask.
Stay cozy, my friend!
