May was a month of monumental realizations, pivoting and learning how to turn lemons into lemonade. While I continued to feel inspired, there was a small part of me that also felt quite stagnant.
Uncomfortably content, if you will.
Surprisingly, I rarely feel this way. I’m unsure as to what anchored such a shift. Perhaps, it was the seasonal transition or merely changes within myself. But, I took note and decided to shift my perspective towards a positive trajectory.
Enter in: finding beauty in the mundane.

We (as humans) tend to fervently chase the “big wins” – buying the car, purchasing the home, getting the job, hitting all the milestones – and the “small wins” simply fade into the abyss.
May was filled with uplifting those moments that I never savor.
The joy of getting dressed pushed my sartorial boundaries.
I found power in adorning myself – rings, necklaces, anklets, henna designs, the works!
Long drives became creative experiments.
Grocery store runs transformed into people watching sessions.
Sifting through my finances turned into mini challenges.
And, I even unearthed new hobbies, in the process.

The mundane became the focus.
With everything going on in the world, take this as welcome reminder: this current season may be slower but don’t forget to take in the view.

xoxo,
